Marshall and Hoodman H700

Picked up my Marshall V-R70P-HDA today. I had already got a Hoodman H700 to go with it, but now that I have both I don't think this is the right match. Marshall seem to recommend the H700P, but I don't see this model (with the P) on the Hoodman site.

Has anyone else got this setup and can give me some tips to get the two to attach properly - the small Velcro strips they provide seem weedy for the job. Have people been attaching their own Velcro strips to the sides of the monitor for the flaps on the H700?

I tried both the Hoodman H700P and 700 and went with the 700. The P does not fit well. I used my own velcro to attach. Purchased at film tools in Burbank
 
That makes me feel better about my choice. Did you use the side flaps on the H700 and put velcro strips on the two sides on the Marshall? Did you also put the thin strips that come with the H700 on the Marshall face?
