Marnie

A Hitchcock film that I never hear people talk about ... so I started a thread.

I just watched this again tonight and find it to be one of Hitch's best in my opinion. It's very compelling and technically strong. The flashback scene is extremely tense, and the whole film is somewhat sinister.

Connery's character in particular is unsettling. His sudden changes in motivation bothers me on a moral level and really struck me the first time I saw the film.

It's kinda hard to talk about this film while trying to dance around for the benefit of people who haven't seen it.

Thoughts?

Marnie is psychotic! That woman is nuts.
My strongest memory of this film, however, is the freaky stuffed Jaguarandi!

You're right though... I saw this film 3 or 4 years ago and I had never heard it discussed before or since.

Well, at least someone else has seen it.

I wonder why this film is passed over....
