Marketing your creations?

Hey guys,
A question: I was curious if anyone has gone through or knows the process of marketing some of the creations you guys have made.

I have a few ideas that I would like to toy around with (light & camera gadgets ) and have told them to friends to good responses but that is really as far as I have gotten.

I honestly don't know how to proceed from here. I do have a prototype of one of the items but I wouldnt know the first thing about actually getting some manufactured/sold.

A good friend, and fellow dvxuser consequentially, said this would be the place to ask because there are hundreds of inventive, friendly dudes on here.

I know the question is vague and general but if anyone has experience or advice the help would be appreciated.

there have been several, redrock, well all the 35mm adapters, the spider brace the good people at indi(product here) build a few. test them., show them off here, (hey look what I made) then get a domain name, and start a website about the product. with the letus, they started out taking basic email out phone orders, (no place order java script) so basiclt as far as marketing, the best way is DIY, the film world is really a small world. if its a good product it will sale, and it will get copied by people like us lol
