Markers in vegas 6

Is there a way to place a marker on a clip and then lock it to the clip so if you move the clip around the marker sticks to it?

By marker I mean when you hit the "M" key.

actually i'm not quite sure but if you just toggle the ripple effect on when you move that clip it will stay attached.

every time I drag a clip the marker stays put making it useless.

I hope it's possible to lock it to the clip.

I don't believe markers can be attached to clips in the timeline. The markers mark a specific location in the timeline not in the underlying clip.

In the trimmer you can save markers/trimpoints with the clip. To do thids you need to go into preferences and check the box next "save markers, blah blah in trimmer" I am sorry I am not in Vegas as I write this but look down the list and you will see the preference option.

This way you can recall trimmed clips for reuse.

You can make markers/regious stay with clips if you use ripple edits.
