We are getting close to releasing our first episode to our new mini-series parody on YouTube called 'Mario Warfare' which has been in production for quite some time. Those familiar with our first series 'Modern War Gear Solid' will know exactly what to expect.

This was filmed with a combination of 2 7Ds and my FS100 using Frank Glencairn's GlenColor1 PP. Airship CGI was done by me (using many different models) and animation done by my brother. One thing I learned is that Frank's GlenColor1 isn't the best for outdoors so I am going to try GlenColor2 which he uses for outdoor work on future episodes when we begin filming again.

As always, if you have any questions, feel free to ask. I love giving back to the community when we start getting to the end of post-production. Not sure how many episodes but I can say that we have 2 filmed at the moment. And eventually, I am a character in the series, but I'll leave that a mystery.

Have you had any issues w/ the build quality on the FS100? I've read a bunch of blogs complaining about it.

None at all, and I don't hold back using my cameras as the shot is what is important to me. It even got knocked around some when I was filming a stun grenade being thrown across the floor and it got hit a few times. The reports of the build quality being a problem in my opinion or greatly exaggerated. While I certainly don't think it would take as much abuse as the body of the 7D which is REALLY amazing, I've seen what happens when an AF100 falls over on a tripod and neither camera would look pretty afterwards, so I am not convinced that the body is a problem. The body allows the camera to be lighter and I'll take that ANY day. With the battery, lens adapter and lens, it's a great weight.

Thanks for the insight. I've been looking at a lot of these cams and the FS100 seemed like the best bang for the buck if I wanted to go brand new and not refurbed/used. But I do a lot of outdoor/wildlife work so build quality is a huge factor I have to consider.

On a side note, I LOVED the MGS parody. Made me laugh out loud, which not many YouTube videos can do. Can't wait to see what you guys do with the Mario Wars.
