Manhattan LCD and Canon XH A1S

Hi, I have a Canon XH A1S and I recently purchased a Manhattan LCD monitor, the A model (their cheapest). But I'm having problems using it with the camera, and I wanted to know if anyone else experienced this. I'm connecting my A1S with component output to the monitor and the image gets all pixelized, as if it was playing through an old CGA monitor, with heavy color banding.

I don't think anything is "wrong" with my A1S because I've already connected the camera with the same component cable to my HD TV and the image is flawless. The weirdest thing is that, when I have the camera connected to the Manhattan LCD during daylight time and I point the camera outdoors, the problem is almost not noticeable (just a bit in the sky). The problem occurs indoors mainly with less light (not necessarily low light). Anyone had this problem or know what's causing it? I've also tried connecting the camera to the monitor with the RCA cable and the same thing happens.

Thanks for any help!
David
