Hey everyone,
I have a Manfrotto Joystick 222 head and the mounting part that screws onto the tripod itself is stripped. If I look directly into the mounting hole, there appears to be an allen (hex) key spot. I was just wondering if anyone knows if by removing the mounting screw, where I could get a replacement? Or what the size might be to fit a new one in there?
Long story as to why the damn thing is stripped, but the short end of it is that Manfrotto seriously doesn't want their heads to come off after being put on (and yes, I tried everything to remove the head before force had to be used).
I bought new legs from a DVXuser and will be putting the joystick head on it for good. I don't intend to separate this combination whatsoever, for whatever reason. I want a permanent solution and if I can figure out how to replace the mounting hole, that would be ideal. If I can't however, is there another alternative I can try?
