Manfrotto 503 pro video vs. 503hdv head

Wondering if you all have a preference? I read in another thread that it's possible to add a second handle to the pro head (which is older and less expensive). Is there anything that makes the 503HDV head worth the extra money?
Thanks for the help in advance.

I just bought a 503hdv, its the only tripod over $500 i've ever used, and though many on the forums will bug about it, I've been enjoying using it.

I purchased the 503 about a year ago to save the money. Works like I'd hope. I'm not sure of the difference - aside from looks. The one thing I'd check out if I were still deciding is the width of the head. When using the 503 the HVX is a little wide for the head and I had to make an adjustment to lock in the plate. It was workable. But, when it first happened I thought... I wonder if the hdv is wider?? I typically shoot with the dvx and that camera fits the 503 just fine.
