I just purchased this movie, and it was really fun to see again.
Sincerelly, this is the Grindhouse version of Gladiator. Its so over the top that you end up enjoying it for what it is... A gloriously shot B-Movie.
And it has some of the most remarkable one liners of recent memories:
"Cleasy is an Artist. His art is death. And he's about to paint his masterpiece." Said by Christopher Walken, corny as hell, but damn fun.
"A Bullet always tells the truth"
"Kill them all" -says the irresponsible mother.
"There's a brotherhood of policemen" "A Brotherhood?" "Yes, its called La Hermandad" (Spanish for brotherhood- literal translation)
And the recicling of the "Gladiator" music was just the Icing of the Cake... So pretentious, but so funny it really works...
As for the Blu-ray disc, no extras whatsoever- just an excelent transfer, one of the best I've seen so far, on par to "The Black Book".
Just had to share this...
