Man In TV

I have a client that wants to open their ad with a shot of a guy that looks like he is in your TV set. The closest thing that I can think of him doing is knocking at the camera and then I add in sound effects. But it seems like that there is more that I can do for this. Does anyone have any ideas, suggestions, or links to something similar?
Thanks for the help..

A storyboard would be nice. The framing of the shot dictates the practicality of certain effects.

If the fist knocks square in the middle of the frame, a pane of glass a few feet away from the lens would do the trick. So that he isn't pantomiming and his hand doesn't block out the entire picture.

I'd suggest a high angle too, if possible with a wide angle lens. But thats just me.

You could have him pull aside the contents of the screen and have him standing in front of an assortment of circuit boards and other electronic elements that you might expect to be inside of a TV.

Get someone to put it together in a compositing app. That kind of thing would be a snap. A little motion tracking for a corner pin, and you can even have the camera panning and tilting.
