Thanks for the heads-up Shawn!!!

ok heres a good reason to go:

See if all the smart sounding Shite i talk means anything. I DP'ed this Mo'Fo. Watch it and curse me if you dont like it... i dare you........

As a general rule, I stay far away from any Man Hole (regardless of its number).

That said, congrats on glorifying your holes. :)

Just wanted to throw out a shout to the DVXers who helped make last night a BOOMING success. The crowd was large and responded very well. So well in fact, that as Shawn was saying, I may have to re-cut some parts for audiences, because they were laughing so hard at some gags or lines that they would miss the NEXT part of the story. But I love doing screenings and learning that kind of stuff.

What was great was the episodes played pretty much exactly as they were supposed to. People laughed at the jokes, GOT the jokes, and followed the stories.

So, here's the thanks to the NY DVXers who came out to support:

Alex - Who braved the pack of rabid liberals last night at the bar...

Shawn - Who's been a huge support throughout this process. Not only with moral support and production, but as I recall, one night actually re-enacting Man-Hole scenes in a bar. I am afraid of which scene. But also who provided an absolutely AMAZING song for Man-Hole IV, which premiered last night. I asked for a song, and he came back with so much more than I could have hoped for. He really outdid himself on that :)

ARAM ****ING BAUMAN - The man came hobbling down the street on crutches, fighting for every step, hopped up on drugs, determined to support a fellow filmmaker at ANY cost. That man has my undying loyalty from now on. Can't wait till we can work together, man

Leslie - I am soooooooo glad you did decide to come out. You are one of the people I look to for a sort of barometer. As crazy and nasty as we get in the series, if you're still watching, it makes me know the quality's showing through.

Timur - Who was making technical notes the minute we left the theater. And his parents even came!!!!!

Steve Boling - Who is, as Timur says, like having 5 people on set. And an all around good guy, smart, knows lots of stuff and is good to talk to. He's on the board now, but I don't think he posts much. But the NY crowd knows him.

Jack and Megan - Jack and I talk about filmmaking when we hang. And although the films we make couldn't be futher from each another, it's always cool to talk story structure, or acting with him, because I think at the base, we agree on the basics. And Megan, well, she deserves a medal just for putting up with that son of a *****.

Who am I forgetting?

Anyway, thanks all of you for coming out and enjoying the evening with us. We really rocked the house down last night.

I had a great freaking time last night and glad I made the effort to come out and support. I'm so tired of being cooped up in the house and luckily the percocet was working overtime and keeping me on my feet. I am definitly feeling it today though, my legs are killing me but it's a good excuse for another pill and a nice hot bath.
I tell you, seeing the shorts on a big screen makes such a big difference. I laughed my ass off. GO GO SPIDERWEB!! That was my favorite line. The actress was telling me last night she had no idea what that meant when she said it but she got it last night.
Your partner was really cool and hope to talk to him again. My throat is still killing me from the laughing and talking about being young and playing ball.
It was good to sit and talk to Timur for a while again, it's been a while.
I'm glad you had a great turn out last night and glad to be a part of it.
Thanks.

glad to see yo ufresh as a daisy buddy. last time i saw yo uhad just passd out and were like fighting for life.... i was worried.

I think that girl you mean is Nina's friend, Jen, who is doing a small role in our horror short, and who auditioned for Alex's horror short. I don't know about numbers changing hands and such, but I'm pretty sure everyone went home alone. Man, Riccadonna's manager was like a vulture on Dana. She was like: "nice chain."
