Making your own Interrotron

Anyone here have experience trying to build an Interrotron? Is it possible to make a home-made one? I have no idea where to start on this, but I’d love to hear for someone who does.

I never understood why there are video ones, like the Interrotron.

When I worked on some Discovery Channel stuff, we'd use a two way mirror. Set up some 4x4 floppies and put a light on the interviewer sitting about 45* off axis of camera. It was easy and cheap. The one that projects a video is so pricey. Of course the mirror eats up light. So be sure to illuminate as required.

Get a teleprompter that works with a laptop in front of the lens. Then instead of running teleprompter software hook-up a webcam.
