I was asked (on very short notice--the service is tomorrow morning at 11am) to do a two-camera shoot of a memorial service in a church, and a reception after the service, elsewhere in the same building.
We're planning to rent two wireless lav mics. We'll run one lav mic into each camera.
The church prefers we put both cams in the balcony, if possible.
Not having covered a memorial in the past, I seek advice from those with that experience. What sort of sensibilities must be considered, any differences in technique that would be standard for other church activities, such as a wedding, other considerations I've not thought of.. basically, some last-minute advice to help me make better decisions about cinematography of such an event.
Any suggestions?
