I am shooting a small thing next and of my actresses needs to be 8 months pregnant. Does anyone had a similar scenario to deal with before? I know i could always use the pillow trick but it might look way too fake.

Anyone?

Instead of a pillow...get a blow up pool toy and put it in the shirt? lol

if you really wanna go into details...then making like a mold of a pregnant stomach would prolly work...if you access to molding materials and what not..and good make up artist...it should believable...tahts if the stomach is shown in any part of the movie though. If its not...

Then jus strap something bulky and round...maybe a dodgeball ball?

I have a more realistic technique:

It takes about 8 months and 10 minutes though... :thumbsup:
 
Lots and lots of beer.

Or find a friendly pregnant woman and make a latex "mask" you can fill with some gel or foam or whatever.

An OB-GYN might even have a model you could mold from.

Oh. Oh. Don't some High Schools have fake pregnancy thingies to wear for those socially-relavent courses they have these days instead of anything useful?

MMM I could try get my lead actress pregnant but she might not be fond of the idea.

Unless of course I follow GenJerDan advice and give her lotsa beer ;).

I'll talk to high schoolers and OB-GYN and see if they can be of any help.

Call your local hospitals or lamaze classes and ask if they have a pregnancy suit. You might even want to try calling a few OB/GYNs in your area and ask.
