Making rain pop?

The other day when it rained I decided to shoot the rain in hopes of gaining some new
knowledge of the DVX. I have only had it for a few days. I put the footage on my comp and on my comp monitor the rain is much more obvious then on my TV. Is there anything I can do to make the rain pop more?

If you adjust your detail settings (in camera) this can help, rasing your shutter speed may also help, as it would freeze frame the rain better. Try adjusting your brightness and contrast in your NLE

Backlighting! Works well on other fluids too.

To really see rain, it must be backlit. It also helps to place the rain against a dark background.
