Making one clip of shopped up clips due to capturing (for multicam edit)

Hey,

I have a problem. A while ago I shot a bunch of concerts for a few friends with 3 DV cameras, on tape. I had/have the intention to edit each band's show with the multicam edit tool in FCP.
Now, while capturing the tapes I came across the well-known problem of the DV tapes getting out of sync when 'capturing now' longer than 4-5 minutes, getting freeze frames and what not.
So what I did, for each tape, was limit the 'capture now' to 4 minutes, so for each band's show I have from each camera 5 - 8 clips. Is there a way that I can make one clip from each tape's entire concert to be able to do a multicam edit with the entire concert without having to go back and search for 'sync points' every 4 minutes (I didn't use a clap or free run time code).
If anybody understands what I mean, and knows how to help me, all help is appreciated. I have to edit 10 hours of music, so it would be cool to have handy solution.

Thanks.

I've never had that problem you speak-of. I've captured full tapes that were one continuous take and they sync'd perfectly with others. I always use 'capture now' too.

Maybe you should try the capture again. That would be your simplest solution.

You can merge clips to create a long one, but that is a lot of work.

if the re-capture doesn't work, just put all the clips from one tape on the timeline and export to a new MOV file for each tape, then use those new files for multi-clip.

Yeah, but unless each of those clips start/end at the EXACT right frame, he'd have to re-sync EVERY clip...

Re-capture all
