Making DVD's in from Vegas 6 mpeg2's.

I've been trying to take my vegas 6 project and render to mp2 then import to DVD acrchitect 3.0. I drop the audio and video into the timeline of DVA but that just creates the media for the dvd menus. I can't figure out how to enter the project itself on to the timeline. I want a menu, and place to ckick "play" and then for my movie to start playing. For some reason I can't do this.

Creating a DVD isn't timeline-based; it's flow-chart based. When you drop a media file onto the main menu screen in DVDA, it creates a button which will then play the media.

Even if f I drag my mpeg2 clip into the work area and do the same with my wma audio file is still end up with the audio playing to my menu, not my mpeg2 movie. when I drag the audio file to the work area it still shows up in the timeline.

How do you get the wma clip to play with the movie, and not the menu?

You have to go into the clip itself. Double-click on it in the menu screen, and you'll see the clip timeline. You can add whatever audio you want there.

If your audio is in PCM (.wav) or AC-3 formats, and you name it the same as your video, and save it to the same folder, DVDA will automatically mate it with the video when you drop the video into the project. Even if for some reason you want it to be .wma, DVDA will convert it to AC-3 or PCM when you render the DVD, so you might as well make it easier on yourself on the front end.
