Hey guys,
I'm going to start poking around the internet to figure out what I can but I figure I'd throw this question out here too to the special effects gurus in the meantime. I have a shot in a film I'm making where a Zombie leans down and bites someones neck/upper shoulder area. It will be a pretty tight shot but I would like to see his actual teeth sink in and rip into the skin exposing red muscle and tissue underneath. It will be a short shot so I just need to sell it for a second before I cut out wide.
So I guess there are two issues, what to make the material out of so it is safe to be bitten, and how to incorporate it into the actresses neck area? Anyone do anything like this before or have any ideas? I have attached a (rather bad) picture that kind of shows the set-up. Camera will be filming the back of two people standing side to side and for the bite I will cut into the smaller box area. The shot will be even tighter then that box is though.
