Hi there
I'm currently in the preproduction phase of developing a short film and the opening scene of it calls for a teenage house party scene, shot in slow motion. It's going to be the opening titles sequence for the film before it cuts to a single location on a roof top with only two characters, so the aesthetic for that will be markedly different.
It will be shot mostly on steadicam, various shots of couples grinding together, drinking, some fire breathing etc, all of that is planned out. I really want to push a high-contrast look as it will push the juxtaposition to the rooftop scene quite well, I'm just very conscious of the fact that it could end up just looking like a music video, which is something that i really want to avoid. Just looking for tips really, mainly in regards to lighting style and what not, it's a pretty low budget affair but i have access to a whole stock of theatre lights which i will be using. The idea of blacklighting some stuff was thrown about too.
Cheers.
