Hey guys, im new here. I film alot of biking with my freinds. Im just geting into filming and editing. I like it alot. I was thinking of geting abunch footage from diffrent places and putting it all together. I would use a diffrent song for each place, and have the guys talk about it inbetween the riding. I am useing vegas and was wondering, should i edit all at one time, and save it as on progect. Or make diffrent projects along the way. I would rather edit after each day of riding, would i be able to combined diffrent vegas projects together onto one story board, then put it onto a dvd?

Thanks any help would be great, Also if any one has any filming tips that would be great to.

Yup, each day can have it's own project. When you want to combine them, you can import each project into another project (nesting). The imported project will act like a regular piece of footage and you can trim it, add effects, etc...

You can definately do that, but Vegas is more than capable of handling an extremely long project.

Just navigate and grab the earlier project file just like you would a clip. Drag it into your timeline and voila. You will have a clip (which is actually the entire project and how it would be if you rendered it to a clip). The avantage of working on parts as independent projects and combining them together i one maser project is that if anything goes awry. ie.corrupted veg file or the project goes awry. Then your still safe to the level that at least the other parts of the project are intact versus losing all your work at one shot.
