Making a DIY DP slider

I've been reading that its fairly easy to make a DP slider with redi-rail parts, but I have yet to actually find a tutorial for how I do it, and as I'm one of the least handy people in the world, I wouldnt have a clue where to start if I wanted to figure it out for myself. Can anyone tell me what I need to order and what to do with the parts once I get them? Also, just for the sake of making things easier, assume I'm an idiot (big stretch, I know) that needs everything spelled out from the ordering to owning a working slider.

I also thought about building a slider like the DP. Then I found the E-Z Slider. I love it!!! Functions like the vertical series DP but less money. Check it out.
