Make-shift power cord (charger to camera)

hey guys... I've somehow misplaced the small cord that goes from the DVX to the charger. I'm wondering if there is any way I can get a new one somewhere or even build one. It seem's to be a very simple/generic cord... shouldn't I be able to buy one somewhere? Would radio shack have what i need to build one? I'd be a little nervous though considering i could FRY my DVX. Otherwise I'm running my dvx off my batteries at all times, even when capturing and it's my instinct that this isn't good for the batteries (constantly recharging).
 
Nothing special about the power cord. Radio Shack probably has one.

You should probably bring the charger with you, to be sure you get the right size connectors, though.
 
Are you missing the cord that goes to the outlet or the cord that goes to the dvx? I am positive you wont find the 2nd one at radio shack. I would check ebay for them. Or contact panasonic. I dont think recharging your batteries is a bad thing, I think thats what rechargeable batteries are for.

Why not? It's just a barrel connector at each end of a 2-conductor wire.

Unless you mean the fake-battery-plate-wire. That, you won't find. But you don't need it, either.
 
Yeah. And? You don't have to use the battery-plate connector. A regular barrel connector will work just fine. (Just gotta be careful you don't yank it out, if you're moving around a lot.)
