Make It Stop (Terri's version)

Been gone. Very stressed. Can only use short sentences. Got sick. Stayed sick. Almost got better. Daughter blew out two tires at the same time on her Lincoln. Daughter borrowed MY car. Daughter locked keys in car(at 1:30am at WalMart on her way home from work, where she stopped to buy a soccer ball---doesnt everyone just HAVE to have a soccer ball at 1:30am???). Daughter tried to break in car using screwdriver (used it like a crowbar!). Car door is now one inch away from car body when door is closed. I had a spare key if she had called me. Had to pick her up at 1:30am driving HER car. Ran out of gas. Left it in a Walmart parking lot for two days after throwing a soccer ball at Wal Mart manager (even longer story). Put gas in the Lincoln at WalMart at 11:30pm a few days later, and it breaks down on the way home. I had to push it into a ditch until the next day. Got my brother to come help me tow it, but it started and we got it home. Now there are Russians redoing the outside of my apartment, and they work from 7:00a til its dark. They scare me as they have broken two windows out of a neighbor's place and duct taped plywood where the window should be. We are down to one car, so I am having to drive my daughter everywhere! I hate that!

If I was a drinker, I'd be, erm, drunk.

Hope all's been well around here. Too many posts to really catch up, but I'm cruising for a bit...steeling my nerves for what tomorrow brings. :undecided

If you can put that to music, include a hostage scene, and at least one car chase, you've got a film.

Don't let Sharon Stone play you though, you'll come out looking cheap.

No hostage, although I did beat my daughter soundly with my one free hand while driving home after running out of gas and having the altercation with the Walmart manager. The sound beating continued at odd intervals the whole way home, usually coinciding with the wind and rain beating down on my left shoulder through the open portal that used to be a snug fitting car window.

Yeah, did I mention it's been raining here ALOT? Tropical Storm last week? Is it technically bad luck to open an umbrella in a car? Like my luck could get worse. heh! (Famous last words...)

Ahh...

Kind of a Dukes of Hazzard done with a dyslexic tone, and an all female cast (your brother's part will have to be re-written).

The tropical storm adds a nice sub plot btw......

Good luck.

Terri - That remided me of the scene in Office Space where he's talking to the the therapist and telling him, "...everyday is worst than the day before, so everyday you see me, it's the worst day of my life." ...."Wow, that's messed up."

Here's hoping things get better. Hang in there.

Hey Terri, hope it all sorts itself out. That's a lot to bear. I don't know why but whenever the world decides to get nasty, it always seems like it throws in a car problem for good measure (so I am trying to take better care of my car when that day comes...)

Well, take care and let us know how things go.

My first car was a Lincoln.

A '62 boat with suicide doors.

It's also the only car I've ever gotten a flat on. Hmmmm....

Whoa. OK, my day hasn't been so bad.

I bet it will cheer you up if you tell us the side story about you and the Walmart manager!

Sorry to hear the unfortunate events. Like Pk said, just hang in there! If I knew your address I would send you some roses, box of chocolates and a Barry Green DVD! :)

This made me laugh so I hope it at least gives you a chuckle or a smile! :)

haha!!! yeah, pretty much all that stuff made me laugh. Its been a grueling couple of weeks...you guys got the highlights, so to speak. There was also the trip to the orthodontist's office to demand that my daughter's braces be taken off, cuz her teeth are as straight as they will ever be and I already paid them $1500 cash up front and now they are charging $100/mo whether they see her or not until whenever. I told them "whenever" had arrived. But the dr said he wants to keep them on another 3 months, and he isnt going to charge me anything anymore. (that was a good thing) My vaccum cleaner (brand new) "broke", but after completely tearing it apart and finding the enormous alien-like clog in the hose line, its working again (and I only have two extra screws left over after putting it back together!). AND, the Russians are remodeling the apartments because someone paid $10.5 mil for the property here and are converting them to condos. That means that when my lease is up in May, I have to move or buy this place. I'm not buying, so I have to move....again. I just got here. So, I am looking at moving in with a friend. It would save me $800/mo, but things are a bit...mmmm....tricky with this friend. We knew each other in highschool, lived next door to each other years later, and then his wife ran off with my ex-husband......and my daughter is crazy about him and calls him "her stepdad". I'm not all up into that, so it could be wierd living there. But his place is just quirky enough for me, with a taste of "the old neighborhood".....i.e. prostitutes, rednecks, and a real operational shiny golden Buddhist temple right across the street. It would be like living in the theater of the absurd. Well, its kinda like that now, what with the Russians and Salma Hayek's uncle living upstairs. (he brought me food, asked about my ancestry, and told me how beautiful my eyes are. ^$$#%$#&^&%!!!!!!)

When it rains, it pours, huh?
