Make it stop......please

Keanu Reeves may not be the best actor, but he's got a good work ethic and people really like him. He's also a nice guy. I really get sick of people bashing on others for no apparent reason. If the guy was an asshole, fine...
 
But this is not necessarily bashing on him for "no reason" If someone has a problem with his opinions, they have a legitimate right to bring them into question. Although whether or not this is the right place for said discusion, I do not know.
 
Rewriting the ‘Day The Earth Stood Still’....

If he doesn't like the original, make a new movie, don't steal the title to attract an audience who won't see the "real" film.
 
Keanu started out well when he was only playing stoner/slacker types. Then he got miscast in a couple period pieces where he fared pretty badly (Dracula, Much Ado About Nothing) which is when I think the bashing began. Since around Speed he's been a serviceable actor. Not going to win any awards, but gets the job done. If he wasn't so pretty he would never have had a career though.

Yeah, he was good as that, proving he's best when he sticks to type -- stoner/slacker/surfer...and he does action well. Anything that doesn't require too much thinking or emoting or an accent, he's your man.
 
And Point Break was the last movie Gary Busey was any good in...although he cracked me up on Entourage.

I like Reeves in The Matrix but I have to agree with you here. Not only that but a lot of greenhouse tree hugging BS is a sham. Other planets are going through the same climate change earth is. Soon they'll be trying to tell us that earth is the cause those changes too.

a remake of this movie sounds great, but the new plot seems to have taken a turn for the worse. bummer.
