Major Live Capture Issues with FC 5.1.4 and HVX

Okay so I shot a 3.5 hours show last night. Direct capture into my MBP. I recently reformated the harddrives and added a partion for my live shoots to go, and re-installed my FC, did my updates and headed to the shoot. Set up my using EASY set Up: DVCPro720p/30p and set my prefreences to NOT abort (so I unchecked the box) on a dropped frame. Never had a dropped frame anyhow, but nonethess. Habbit.

After the shoot started about 30 seconds into the captured footage. WHAM it stops capturing and goes back to the preview screen. And yes I did not accidentally hit the ESC button :).

So I hot Capture and looks good for a couple seconds, and wham again... So am looking at the capture window and it says Removing VFR from footage, or something to that nature, so I went into the the capture settings, Duplicated the locked one, and unchecked the Remove VRF. The 3.5 hours captured fine. BUT here is the problem.... when I look that the footage from the Finder is is out of sync. Start in sync and then slowy goes further and further out of sync.

Also when I opened the sequence 720p/30p timeline, it says I need to render to the footage. So I am like. NO WAY. I check the clip properties and it says :FRAME RATE 59.97. WHAT.. So I close project Open a new one at easy set up 720p/60p and no render, but audio is still not sync.

I have a shoot in 8 hours another 3 hour shoot and I need to solve this problem.
I have dont at least 200+ hours of live capture before this problem. And it is happening something by default.

thnks for the help in advance.

I am always dumbolded by NTSC stuff... BUT

1st thing I'd try was to capture at 1080 p24, just for kicks, to check the presets.

If that works, I'd actually test DVCPRO50 as well (guess you don't want that, but again: just for kicks)

If those works well, there's most likely something in your camera settings.

OK

These are just my 2c, but this is what I'd do...
