major color correction help needed

I did a shoot where the power went out half way through destroying the light. It was just event videography so obviously the people kept on going without waiting for power and lights to be back on. shot in DVCpro HD 720/24p 16:9

I went from this image

to this image (poorly color corrected just to get it so you could see people also it looks twenty times better in my viewer then on this website)

You're probably hosed.

You should always under expose digital media as a rule of thumb, but this is too much!! (hee).

Hah thought so. Whatever its not my problem they said it was cool as long as I kept rolling audio. I just wanted to try and make an effort. FYI when its in my timeline I can actually see quite a bit I may have killed it when I exported it.

take a screen capture of it in your timeline then.

how do you do that?

if you have a mac, press command + shift + 4 and you can take a screen cap of whatever area you want.

if you have a pc i think there's just a button on the top right of the keyboard that says 'print screen' . press it and then paste that image.
