Magnetic camera mount for vehicle?

The problem I have with magnets is that they always pickup little metal shavings which then scratches the paint. But on steel cars, they would be more reliable than suction cups.

Now, what I don't like about that rig is that there doesn't appear to be any swivel for each magnet. Find a modern car that has any single panel that is flat. The best you could hope for is left/right symmetry. I prefer to use a rig that has attachment mechanism (magnet, suction) attached to a ball head, attached to mounting plate. Kind of a pain on windows, but works well on cars, though it is a bit taller from the ball heads.

There is a possibility that each magnet is on a ball - like some rubber feet you might see on an industrial cooker.

But without that.. this system seems flawed.

I have a 'cloud mount' and it is not badly made.

Thank you both. I plan on mounting whatever I get on my Van which has some large flat surfaces. I want to mount remote cameras on the top front, upper side and top rear to shoot other vehicles. I'm looking at a smaller magnetic mount and then a larger one for a gimbal like maybe this

The cloud mount looks really good. I suspect it makes a significant different in coping with bumps. How hard is it to configure to a particular size/weight camera?
I realized I better start a new thread for the gimbal so as not to derail this one
