Maglev Camera Dolly - Smooooooth!

So there I was daydreaming about video gear in the far future and imaging a floating anti gravity camera platform when I suddenly remembered today's maglev trains being developed by Japan and Germany. Then I thought of a maglev camera dolly. Computer controlled speed and start end points complete with ease in and out.

Yes it would cost a bundle to develop so its highly unlikely, but since this is kind of an imagineering post, if you were adding other features to take advantage of maglev, what would they be?

How about a loop in the track? I'd love to see a camera crew go inverted for the sake of the shot. :thumbsup:

No, actually that's an interesting thought about maglev dollies and tracks. I wouldn't be surprised with most anything the way technology is advancing. It's just a matter of some company deciding to do it.

Of course, it would make an expensive aspect of filmmaking even more so.
