hey guys and gals,
just wondered if anyone has used magic bullet for editors version 2 yet. Wondered if it rendered faster and what some new looks are.
I actually used a buddies copy this weekend. I didn't find the render to be any faster than MB1. It was optimized for a video card, but there it was still a little sluggish in the preview window (not 100% real time at all).
The more I use MB I just don't get it. Some of the looks are good (curahee, buffalo, No.85) but overall it just isn't doing it for me anymore.
The new presets weren't anything to really write home about either. I guess I just want to have like 200 presets to make it worth while for the pricetag of full purchase, or at least 100 presets to make it worth while for upgrade.
Overall some improvements but not really worth it.
I just upgraded. The rendering time is a little better, and there are about 8 new looks I think. One of them is called "kindofpain" which looks promising...
and to contrast the yankee, totaly worth it. There is no cc software as powerful as magic bullet, and those who don't tweak the presets to their own liking are morons.
Personally I don't consider MB to be a color correcting piece of software, rather a looks package. It does gradients and adds an overall finished look to the project, but I don't think it is color correcting.
For me I go through with levels, contrast, filters and color correct. Once that it balanced then I add MB (but I'm getting a bit tired of it).
