So I'm working with my Magiqcam IIa, and have found that when it's *just* the DVX parked on top, both the upper and lower arm segments compress (that is, the springs stretch under the load) but not so far as to bring the little welded-on "stops" together.
When I've added the full load (lcd monitor plus battery plus micrometer head) the 'bottom' arm section spring (nearest the vest) stretches pretty far (at maximum preset tension) and the 'upper' arm section spring stretches until the hard 'stops' on the bones come into contact.
So basically, the lower section spring is providing all the 'springiness' and the upper section may as well be solid, since it's all the way on the stops and the spring isn't providing any, well, springiness.
Is there a fix for this besides finding and inserting stiffer springs? And, are there any recommended sources, for stiffer springs...?
