Magic Trackpad or Wacom tablet?

Hi
Concerned about RSI with all the mousing I do. Coworkers , seem happy with a Wacom, but wondering with OSX Lion if I shouldn't instead opt for a Magic Trackpad.
Which would be most useful for use in editing and work in after effects? I'm guessing, though don't know for sure, that the Wacom does not support gestures.

I think the two are entirely different devices. Overall I must say the Wacom is a way more accurate and precise device. However if you arent taking advantage of those added features and are just using the device for normal navigation then yea the Trackpad might actually be better for you. What Wacom are you using? Also, why not just buy a Trackpad and try one out?

ive been using a trackpad for the last few months just to get acclimated to it. i wouldnt dream of using it in any editing program at this point and i doubt ever. it is cool for web browsing, scrolling and flipping pages though. for me its biggest weakness is stabbing at a very small point to click on. no competition for a mouse IMO but cool for the other things i mentioned.

with that said though there are others here that would say the opposite.

like ben said...pick one up and give it a go. only $60. by the way im on SL and there is still a lot it will do.
