Magic Bullet vs. FCP & Other Filters

I just got a new DVX-100a and I was wondering if I should bother installing (& learning) the Magic Bullet software that came with the camera. I'm a Mac guy using:

  • Final Cut Pro
  • Motion
  • After Effects
  • Cinema Tools

Does anyone know if the apps I already have installed overlap most of the Magic Bullet features?

I believe the MB that comes with the DVX is a plugin for FCP only. It's got some nice creative effects that you might find useful and it's pretty easy to use.

You are soooo correct.... and thanks!

It did not state that on the packaging and I had not yet come across any documentation indicating it was a plug-in set for FCP (and other editing apps). Thought it might be like some of the included photo retouching apps that come with select scanners - wasted space if you have PhotoShop.
