Hello,

Having a annoying problem with my Vegas setup after install windows 7 x64. Whenever I install and use magic bullet looks, I playback my timeline with preview monitor active(without active Preview monitor it' behaves fine) and vegas stops responding. Then when I reload vegas after the crash, it won't load my project or any for that matter that I have used MBL on. So then I have to uninstall MBL and reinstall it then reload vegas to load the project. This has not solved the freeze issue however and this 'solution' of mine has to be run every time I load a project.

Here is the Error message I get

Sorry, yes my vegas 10 installation is 32bit but my operating system is x64 - MBL isn't even recognised in the plugins on the V10 x64 installation('cause MBL isn't 64 bit).MBL has worked fine on Vegas 10 32bit with past x64 Vista installations it's only since installing W7 x64. But I want to sp;ve this problem without reverting back to vista

I'm having the exact same problem and it only started with Vegas 10. Unfortunately, because of the lack of backwards compatibility between 9 and 10, I can't continue with the projects I created in 10 until this gets resolved. I had hit or miss luck uninstalling 10b and re-installing 10a, THEN launching Vegas and loading my MBL-using projects, but this doesn't always work. I tried uninstalling the Nvidia driver and doing a clean install in case the dll was corrupt but alas, no luck.

I'm using the 32bit Vegas Pro on a notebook running Vista Home Premium 32bit with SP 2. Vegas 9 and MBL 1.4 was rock solid with the Open GL driver but Vegas 10 seems to bring out the worst in the dll. I have to blame both Vegas and the dll since I read that many other folks are having similar issues in CS5 and Poser (but I've not had any issues with CS5 at all).

So does anyone have any thoughts? The dll is necessary for Vegas to run properly (I tried removing it and Vegas couldn't open any of the project files properly). I'd REALLY like to continue using 10 but not if I have to constantly be uninstalling and re-installing half of my apps and plug-ins to make it work.

Strange. Vegas 9 64bit couldn't see 32bit plugins, but the workaround solution was to also use Vegas 9 32bit which could still see 32bit plugins fine (at least, the ones I tried) - annoying but workable. So Vegas 10 32bit can't see 32bit plugins?

The only way I have found around this (which is annoying but works) is the open a new project, stick some footage in the timeline, add MBL to it then add the grade, switch on preview monitor, play that graded footage a few times, then close the project without saving and it will then allow you to open up projects from 9 or any with MBL applied to them, without crashing and prevent the whole preview monitor crash problem.
