Magic Bullet Looks/Cs5 problems

Here's my problem: I'm editing in Premiere Pro CS5 with T2i footage, everything is fine and works well. However, I really want to use Magic Bullet Looks for the "looks/grading."
Every time I drag "looks" to a clip on the timeline, Premiere always freezes for a few seconds, then crashes, the error says "appcrash" as well.
I've reinstalled MBL 1.4 countless times, and numerous ways, even deleting the registry keys when I uninstalled it for the 10th time. Ive tried installing as administrator, under Windows XP compatibility mode, and same problem.
I'm using Windows 7 x64, 6GB Ram, and 2x500GB Hdd's.

My question is
A) How do I fix it
or
B) What else (program) can I use that will give me "looks" like MBL? Color correction doesn't do what I want, so thats not gonna work.

Also, I have "misfire" and that works fine...

The Looks of magic bullet can ALL be achieved with the combined tools already available under the effects menu.
This is more true especially with after effects, though you can also achieve it in Premiere.

Magic bullet looks merely "canned" them for those in a hurry.

You can start with either curves, or levels or 3 way color corrector, then add brightness contrast, and so on. Add vignette, add noise or soften to taste.

In my tests, CS5 runs in realtime using its own realtime filters even when i used several filters, whereas one filter from magic bullet requires a render. Even if i'm using the mercury engine on a cuda capable card.

That's because MBL isn't (yet, anyway) supported by GPU acceleration like the other effects. In the effects list there's a particular icon for GPU accelerated effects so you can see which ones will be affected.

As for your problem, either get technical support from Red Giant or try re-installing Windows on your computer. There might be detailed logs somewhere in your Premiere directory that could give you more information on what's going wrong.

Though as Teddy said, you don't need a program to do what MBL does. Some of the effects would require After Effects (swing tilt, vignettes, soft focus etc.) but the basic colour settings are mostly possible within Premiere and are quicker, too.

Thank you guys. I guess I'll just try using Premiere's effects (Like I've been) and manipulate to my liking. I may call Red Giant if it doesn't work out, but I'll give it some more time in case anyone has an answer here.
