Magic Bullet HD with SD Footage

Curious if anyone's tried this.

My hope is that in scenes with diffusion added to them, the overall image would look cleaner than just normal SD footage with SD Magic Bullet. Basically filling in the cracks of the footage to blur the pixels when enlarged.

Just an idea I was curious about.
 
you can just use a slight guassian blur. youll get a little BABA WAWA look to your footage using the diffusion but I would assume I will retain a slightly sharper overall appearance.
