Magic Bullet for Vegas?

I'm thinking of spending my tax return (woot!) on Magic Bullet Suite, but I have Vegas 6. Will it work for me, or would I need After Effects?

Hmmm...I don't have AfterEffects, but I still have Premiere 1.0 laying around. Would the full suite work with that?

Ok. Sorry to be so persistent, but will the full suite do as suitable a job of making 60i look like film as the Editors version? I'm taking 60i footage from a Canon handheld, a DVX100B and an HDR-FX1. Thanks.

no, the editors version will not do 24p conversion. The full suite does, which requires aftereffects.

for a more affordable alternative- try DVFilmmaker at www.dvfilm.com This will do 24p conversion (a good job to, I used it on my last short film and it had a great film look). Then CC or use MB editors to tweak the colors.

Vegas 6 does a great job of converting 60i to 24p. Have you tried it? You could also use Celluloid with any of the ReelPaks to get many of the same looks that Magic Bullet has and it works natively in Vegas.
