Magic Bullet 2.0

kai

After FX Guru
I'm beta testing the next generation of Magic Bullet for AE... and wow it's sweet.

First off the speed. It's optimized for G5's, and this thing is rendering looksuite at least 3 times faster than 1.5 did.

Here are the main upgrades:

No resolution limitation - every version works on any size image! (no more buying an HD version to work on larger than SD)

No dongle needed.

New render license pack available

Includes the Misfire plug-ins with 13 categories of effects in 14 plug-ins (dust, flicker, scratches, gate weave, funk, etc)

Look Suite is optimized for G5 processors (fast).

New "Looks" for a total of 56 presets in Look Suite (including some very very sweet ones, and of course all tweakable just like the last version).

A variety of bug fixes...

Re: Magic Bullet 2.0

..has anyone told you that you suck lately KAI? :P

...good to know though, faster renders will definitely be nice as well as the resolution limitation loss. I think that with the vast array of other software available which isnt so divisive in trying to separate professionals tools by their wallet size is forcing alot of other software peices to comply .. in general by lowering prices, and adding features.. so its nice to see the trend continue.

..and im sure youl by your pal ..me a copy for christmas too..(insert smiley with fluttery eylashes trying its hardest to put on a cute puppydog face) ;)

Re: Magic Bullet 2.0

Last time I Beta tested, discussions of the new product were "strongly" discouraged while under Beta.

Are you sure you can "talk"?

Re: Magic Bullet 2.0

Hey I didn't sign anything :) I don't see how praising their product to masses of potential users would make them mad.

and IAL... you crack me up as always ;)

Re: Magic Bullet 2.0

If you're not under nondisclosure, then I guess there's no issue. But companies frequently put you under nondisclosure because if you go spreading word about new features, etc., it can harm the company in two ways:
1) it lets competitors know what they're up to
2) it can cause people to stop buying the current product (which is what killed the Kaypro computer company).

But if it's an open public beta test period, there's nothing to worry about.
