made a boo boo

Re: made a boo boo

Polarizers rarely have a muticoating, so that's fine. As for single-coated UV filters, the quality can vary. You may have no problems at all, but if the lens isn't shaded well (like with the stock shade) you may be more likely to get flare problems when shooting under direct sun. A single coated filter can also cause problems for night shooting by bouncing around reflections of point light sources like street lights. Considering that you can get a Hoya HMC UV for under $40, why take chances?

is there a quality difference in Pol-filters then? there are "käsemann"-filters promoted here in europe for twice the price.....

Re: made a boo boo

Can the dvx utilize LINEAR polarizers, or does it have to be CIRCULAR polarizers. (always manual focus)

Re: made a boo boo

whether you use a linear or circular on the DVX makes no difference. the optics of the DVX do not require a circular polarizer at all. but if your going to buy one, you may as well buy one that you can use for anything... so go wih the circular.. its only a ittle bit more usually
