Madame Tutli-Putli

A short 'stop-motion' animated film.

The entire 17 min short.

The kind of short that should have had an oscar consideration.

Not that these people disagree with me or anything...

A short claymation animation.

This is not "Claymation" (a registered trademark of Will Vinton), nor clay animation. It uses puppets with aluminum wire skeletons and bodies of silicon, latex, and plaster. This is an absolutely AMAZING film. It was on one of the issues of WHOLPHIN, the quarterly DVD series.

The kind of short that should have had an oscar consideration.

Not that these people disagree with me or anything...

They certainly did consider it, since it was one of the nominees for the 80th Academy Awards (2008). I guess the film's web site figured it had enough actual wins that it didn't need to list the awards for which they only got as far as a nomination...

Thanks for the clarification on both counts.

I've also updated the link in the first post which links to the entire short now instead of the trailer.

A friend of mine worked with these guys on their most recent short. They were taken on by Spike Jones to adapt a children's book. The new short film is supposed to feature on the "Where the Wild Things Are" Dvd.
