Macro vibration plate

Hey,

I was wondering what could be a cheap way to make vibrations. As I ofter see macro shots of like herbs, dust, fine metal objects vibrating(bounce/jump/shaking) on a surface. And I would like to recreate such a shot if possible with household items. If not what machine is beeing used for this(I was thinking about a fitness vibration device, but that is too expensive).
