Is it possible to get a macro attachment for the dvx, or is a doubler lens the only option?

I use some old series 7 Close-up filters on mine. B&H has B+W for about $42.

I purchased the Canon 500D (72mm thread) close up lens. Very nice lens for not that much money.
Did a quick search and found one here:

How do these closeup filters compare to the doubler?
I will be filming tiny marine creatures one inch or smaller.

The close-up lenses litterally allow you to focus closer to the lens, problem being that lighting close to the lens get a little difficult because the camera is in the way. I've never used a doubler but it might work better for this use. I don't know what it does to the focus though, it might also increase the minimum focus distance. So maybe you would have to use both.
