Mack Camera Repair

Sent cam off to Mack at beginning of year to fix it when it went dead. They "fixed" it and returned it with further problems. Sent it off again and now they say its gonna cost 675 to fix, when they didnt' fix it in the first place!! What to do? I feel like since the cam wasn't dropped or anything and they didn't fix it in the first place, it should still be covered by their "warranty"....

Thanks

I've also had bad experiences with Mack service, so I'd never buy another of their "warranties". I think it's a hit or miss kind of thing, but you should be in their face insisting that they do the necessary repairs. One thing I've discovered is that their technical expertise is limited and there are repairs they can't do--but they'll never admit it. Part of their policy seems to wearing down customers in difficult repair situations, so refuse to roll over.

Your absolutly right, they should fix it, but this is one of the sneakiest, worst warranties out there. I really don't know what to tell you. I have had nothing but bad experiences with Mack warranty's, so I don't get them anymore. I had a similar experience as yours, when I got it back, the camera had the same problem, so they took it back, and it took them, get this, 10 weeks to get me the camera back. Lucky I wasn't using the camera then for professional reasons, but when i got my DVX I said a big no thank you to the Mack.
