Just cracked my Macbook pro 15" screen, it is my main editing system, the computer works (as it is still encoding, and I can see somethings moving on the screen.
I am wondering if I should fix it (not thru apple) the warranty will be up in
February of next year so my plan was to sell it and get a more updated version anyway.

They fix the screen for $500 or about $600 with shipping
Apple will charge $1000 to fix the screen, I mean this is my business, but
I have to make sound decisions too... and fixing it seems like one, but I just
want any additional advice from you guys.
