OK, maybe I didn't phrase the first post well enough to warrant a reply so here goes a redraft.
I'm thinking about buying a new Macbook Pro 15 for location capture to hard disk while using my DVX 100B with DV firewire output and would appreciate feedback from Macbook Pro users.
If I use it for location file capture will I have problems in any of the followong areas?
a) Dropouts during capture with 5400 rpm HD? Does a 7200 rpm drive provide better capture rate to avoid dropouts?
b) Do the built in features in Red Lightening Software's DV Montor Pro for capture & logging provide the same level of time saving as their new Shot Logging Pro software? ie, is it worth the extra money in reduced logging time?
c) Is the screen resolution adequate to pull focus with?
d) Do the features of DV Monitor Pro really provide quicker setup time and fewer setup errors?
