Is it worth it to buy an extended warranty? I see that they will clean the heads once a year but are there other wear and tear things that are not covered?
I think its worth it. I've got a year and a half old PowerBook that the power cord was starting to short out. I called AppleCare at 3pm last tuesday and told them. Wed am I had a new one delivered to my door. There was a sheet enclosed that had DHLs phone number, and instructions on returning. I had to rip off the top label, the return ship label was already in place. Called DHL and they picked up the old part THAT afternoon. All done in less than 24 hours. Not bad. If your HD, motherboard, or virtually anything goes wrong in that 3 years, they will replace it. I recently bought a G5 with a 23" monitor and the dealer sold me the AppleCare 3 year for $150 that covers the computer AND the monitor. The local Mac shop will fix most any problem within 24 hours. I definitely think its worth it.

Seem's you'd want to read it, yourself....[/quote]
The fine print is not very detailed and is often confusing. Also, often the company itself does not follow their own fine print.

"the company often does not follow their own fine print".
Is there some reason you're not able to review an extended warranty contract yourself?
Asking for advice about details online regarding a warranty "you" want, is rather naive.
