Mac vs PC

Re: Mac vs PC

Didn't we just do this last week in the cafe? Oh, well, here goes. The Mac is much, much better. By far. No comparison at all. You would be totally, eternally happy with the Mac, and extremely miserable and unsatisfied with the AMD.

Re: Mac vs PC

You're in a dangerous position buddy. Didn't anybody tell you that this place is a village of religious integrists for whom it is a mortal crime to utter the name of Mi.. Micr.. Micros..... (Steve ! I can't say it ! It's beyond my power !)

Steve J. is Their only God and they regularly eat windows for breakfast, as a warming up for the day.

At night, they eat human flesh under the moon.

If the victim's name is Bill, there is a special ceremony : they share his still beating heart, mumbling some macintoshian uncomprehensible words (things like "focpici" or "bilzafagut" that only one of them can understand). They follow up with an all-night orgy during which they blindly fornicate to increase the market shares of their minoritarian tribe.

Specialists regularly predict their total extinction, but up to now, they've managed to survive and remain vivid. A lot of them even think they're gonna control the planet one day.

So fly away kiddo before you get eaten alive. Go back to the Vegas section : it's safe there, full of unsexy but undangerous creatures. Leave us wild animals to our animality.

Re: Mac vs PC

There are orgies!?

Damnit! Where the hell have I been? I've been using OSX for two years now, and for what? An operating system that won't crash because I tried to open Media Player? Well screw this. If I'm not getting invited to the orgy and the human sacrifice, then what's the point. I'm going to back to Windows 95.

Re: Mac vs PC

I gotta go with mac. I own and operate with ease.......
(whispering: customer service sucks...sssssshhhhhhh)

Re: Mac vs PC

Actually, their customer service is the highest rated of all computer manufacturers. But they all have their problems sometimes.

Re: Mac vs PC

As a retired IT Engineer specializing in UNIX and Windows servers, for about 20 years, I always came home to a Mac. Ever since my Mac Plus was cutting edge! I've never had problems with customer service, compared to any other computer company. And now I'm back on UNIX! Happy, happy, joy, joy!!!!

PC's are ok, but, I can take you on a tour across the country to all my old clients and show you the difference between Windows and UNIX. You'd be surprised how many UNIX systems have been running for years without a glitch. I can't say the same for the Windows systems I was "paid" to install. But I never charged anyone for installing or servicing a Mac. They just don't break all that often.

Not to mention Apple in mid 2004 came out on top in a survey of computers based on DOA units, warranty repair and support calls. Apple was first, Dell was second my a very large margin and everyone else came in WAY behind Dell.

There is a huge difference between parts, where you get them from, etc. What you by as OEM off the shelf is the stuff that failed all the big computer makers' tests. Sad, but true.

Apple rejects TONS of bad parts. They only install the best.
