Searched this site for info on good web hosting, found some good stuff, but two questions. One, it's burned up all my brain cells to learn FCP and DVX, so I'm looking for site that hopefully has some kind of easy web design page that I can learn with the two brain cells I have left, cause I don't know diddly about putting a page together; and second, does it matter that I'll be using a MacBook to design my stuff (Unix, FCP and Quicktime) when I choose a host provider?

Thanks guys!

Well iWeb that comes with iLife is a pretty simple website builder. Its pretty easy to understand. Also I like using Adobe GoLive but that is a little more complicated. And no, it shouldn't matter that you use a macintosh to upload to a server.

Yeah, I was doodling around with that tonight, but just googled bunch of stuff on web hosting and bandwith, etc, and learned that bandwith is important issue. I hope (hopefully) that when we get our little movie site up, it'll get a lot of hits, views, whatever they call it, and lots of downloads of the trailer, so want to make sure we're covered on that bandwith thing, so didn't think .Mac could handle that kind of traffic, but if it can, someone sing out. Might use iWeb, but looked kinda generic, wanted to do something a little distinctive for our page, just found something called RapidWeaver, looks like that might work, anyone got any experience with that?

From a Clients perspective, a site is more professional if it isnt made off a template, and especially if it doesnt say "Created in iLife" and hosted on .Mac doesnt help either.
If you know, or can figure out basic HTML I reccomend dreamhost for a webhost, amazing prices, Never down, decent speeds, Hosted from LA, the list goes on and on about them. If your considering dreamhost, lemme know, because i get a discount on a refferal or somthing ;)

Use Bluehost. They have amazing service, a great hosting package, and if you signup with the link below then DVXuser's official charity will get $65.
