Not really a FCP problem but I'm hoping someone can help.....
I have the newest Mac Pro desktop with a Dell 2407WFP 24" Monitor, and am having some real issues getting video to play with the correct aspect ratio or resolution.
I have attached the monitor to the Mac via DVI cables, and in trying to calibrate the screen I have no option to alter the contrast - this seems to be resulting in some major qulaity loss - whilst viewing Star Wars III original collector's ed disc the sequences and text appear extremely pixellated.
I'm not sure whether this is due to the screen's calibration or the in house mac dvd player, which I really hate, so few options. I'm wondering which avenue to pursue to discover the solution to get my screen displaying video at the capability I've paid for!!? Dammit.......
Thanks y'all....
