Mac Question - Trying to convert 1080p60 from Sony HX100v to editable format

I am considering buying the Sony DSC-HX100v and I have a sample native file from the camera recorded at 1080p60. I used ClipWrap and when converting it to AIC I only get an audio file. I have not tried Toast 11 yet....does anyone know anyone who is using this camera shooting at this format and being able to convert it to a format that I can use on my Apple Final Cut Pro?

Thanks-

Take a look at the posts by Alan Somers here on rewrapping 1080-60p AVCHD from last year. https://discussions.apple.com/message/11316343#11316343 I think all the links still work and will allow you to automate your rewrapping of the 1080-60p video stream into an mpeg4 transfer stream. The issue is that 1080-60p is not in the AVCHD standard and Apple doesn't or won't recognize it. Who knows why.

The basic issue is not the video stream its self, but the transfer stream. Both the Sony and Panasonic's that shoot 1080-60p use the AVCHD mpeg2 transfer stream. If you simply change the transfer stream to mpeg4 imovie and fcp will import it perfectly.

Suppossedly ClipWrap2 does it now as well.

Cheers,

ProRes LT or ProRes 422is what you want, not MPEG-4, for Final Cut Pro. I think Sony has a Log & Transfer plugin to handle that.
