Mac Pro Ram - How much should I get for SD multicam on-the-fly RT editing?

Hello,

I've ordered a 2.66GHz Mac Pro with the Radeon video card and will be getting FCS 2. One of the primary tasks I'll be doing is performing on-the-fly multicam RT editing of 3 to 4 different camera angles. What amount of RAM would be sufficient for this kind of work?

TIA

* 2GB of RAM when working with compressed HD and uncompressed SD sources
* 4GB of RAM when working with uncompressed HD sources

No not really necessary. Now I have 2.0 dual G5 with 3 gig and I did 7 streams with no problem. The new 2.66 mac pro is at least 2 or 3 times faster than the 2.0 dual G5 anyway.
But the more RAM the better, always.

Thanks, guys. I went ahead and ordered 4 gigs to add to the existing 1 gig. That way I have some elbow room for doing HD when I'm ready to make that step.
